Western Kentucky University’s motto is The Spirit Makes the Master. Our approach to sustainability is not to follow others, but rather to serve as an exemplar with innovation and creativity that sets the bar. This is why I asked Jason to assist us with our climate action planning. From our very first conversation, Jason became a true Hilltopper, ready to serve WKU fully in creating something befitting a University that lives it’s motto. Jason did more than facilitate the project: he brought Mastery to the table.

Jason was the primary contributor to the Energy Plan prepared for Eastern Kentucky University. Recently, I wrote our President, Dr. Michael Benson; “If you’re familiar w/ Dilbert, Consultants and Engineers, you know that Engineers are not fans of Consultants. … Jason has previous campus energy management projects under his belt and a youthful excitement about the possibilities for energy savings at EKU. He is an asset.” Prior to that, I had told Dr. Benson, in the final Energy Plan executive presentation, that the value of what EKU received working with Jason well exceeded the cost.”
-- Bill Rhodes, Assistant Director
EKU Facilities Services

I have collaborated with Jason on projects where he has been a sub-consultant to my firm, as well as some opportunities where he needed support from my firm. I have found him to have rock-solid integrity, to be very competent in with energy and sustainability, and to over-deliver product for the fee charged. I continue working with the guy, which is probably the best recommendation I can give!
--Jonathan Moore, Owner
Moore Ventures, LLC

Jason has worked with Capital Plaza for 4 years on our infrastructure and sustainability initiatives. We consider him more of a partner than a consultant. Every potential project he has facilitated for us has been well researched, well presented and well implemented. He has a sound & realistic understanding of how to apply sustainability in a business context. Jason has been conservative in his estimates of project ROI and continues to over deliver and exceed our expectations. I can't think of better qualities in a consultant and I recommend him highly.
--Chad Braden MBA, LEED AP, BPI, Director of Facilities & Sustainability
Stonebridge Hospitality

Jason has helped us on a project in West Liberty, Kentucky. This was for a rebuilding initiative following the tornado. I found Jason to be well respected around the state in the sustainability community. One of the things I like about Jason's approach to sustainability, is that he de-politicizes things and takes the ideological baggage out of the equation.
--Johnathan Gay, Director,
Morhead State University Innovation Center

Jason was essential to completing a multi-facility energy audit on time and on budget for Franklin County. From crafting bid specifications, to screening vendors, to reviewing the final reports, Jason was there every step of the way with insightful recommendations and careful guidance. Jason's ability to break down complex energy concepts into small, digestible pieces was the most beneficial, however. The future in Franklin County is bright (but not inefficiently so) thanks to Jason.

Jason was the main driver of the project and I was impressed with his ability to arrange meetings with high level strangers, network and develop ideas and get them adopted into reality. From MIT professors, to city energy managers, to high-level policy players, to undergraduate and graduate students, Jason was able to identify and connect a diverse web of leaders and channel their collective efforts towards real-world progress. I strongly recommend Jason to any organization working on carbon reduction, climate, or energy projects.

It was my distinct honor and pleasure to work with Jason on a team grant proposal on sustainability and energy-conservation in response to an RFP from the Fayette County school system. While his specific focus involved writing the energy saving section, his influence on the contours of the entire grant proposal was extensive and of the highest quality. He has also played a part in public forums and other grant proposals that I have had the opportunity to attend or to evaluate. In each case, the imprint of his expertise and creativity has been manifest. In those areas where he specializes, I would recommend him to potential clients unhesitatingly and with the greatest confidence in his ability to deliver quality service.
